Sylia, from 2018 is a member of the National Disabled Swimming Team and since her very first participation in the National Championship in 2018 she defeated the Pan-Hellenic record in all the events that took place. Indicatively best time in Greece at 50m and 100m freestyle swimming, at 100m breakstroke as well as 200m individual medley. Her records made her third in Europe and fifth in the world! In World swimming meeting which took place in Berlin, “Berlin 2018 World Para-Swimming World Series” Sylia won six medals for her country. With regard to the problem with her vision, which has gradually fallen to one-tenth, “instead of weakening me” as she says, she has armed her forcefully to advance and achieve her dreams. This summer will participate in the Swimming World Championship for People with Disabilities, while her big goal is the Paralympics in Tokyo in 2020.
